R&llro&d Go,, Depot, the reservoirs and wells and normal system were positive which I believe is well within the limits of the Health Department requirements. We have not heretofor kept • record by months of the results of sampling, but In developing the summary above we have made a tabulation of all of the sample reports in our files and would be glad to have you Inspect them at any time, la the fourth paragraph of your letter you request that the Water Company collect and submit not leas than 10 samples monthly of the distribution system, at least one of which should be from the U.p, Y&rds and that we keep these records In our office for Health Department yearly inspection. We will be glad to comply with this request and will keep the record of all samples taken regard!.ess of the number taken each month. You will note that the tabulation for nine souths period, Indicates an average of about &5 samples per month. In keeping tills record, I will comply with your suggestion and indicate my opinion as to the oauee of unsatisfactory samples which might be obtained, deferring to the third paragraph of your letter wherein you state that *In the meantime, If the bacteria record stands, then I am disposed to Issue an order to the Has Vega# Land and Water Co., that they Immediately chlorinate their entire supply8« In view of the record as disclosed by the forgoing summary and the explanations as submitted for each of the Items therein, it is my opinion that you should not issue an order to Immediately chlorinate the entire system. If such an order were Issued it would create a hardship on the Water Company and I feel that the facts disclosed do not justify such an order. In addition, I feel that during the 9 months period under discussion, the Water Company has cooperated with the Health
