Las Vegas - December 2^, 1953 W 23-1-119 Mr. R. L. Adamson - Los Angelos cos Mr. W». Reinhardt Attached please find map showing diagram of water system proposed by Twin Lakes Village, Xne.f Las Vegas, Nevada. I have indicated in oolor the else of lines proposed by Twin Lakes Village,Ino. Without making any computations it appears to me that it will be necessary to extend the water main In Highway 95 from Riverside Drive to Vegas Drive in order to adequately serve the area proposed for development by Subdivider. As it now stands on the map the entire subdivision will be served through two 8* pipe lines whloh connect to the transmission line at Highway 95 at Washington Avenue and Riverside Drive whloh does not appear to be practical. I have informed the Subdivider that they should plan on extending the main in Highway 95 with a possible connection to the system at Turquoise Road and a connection to the proposed 8* line in Vegas Drive in order to provide an adequate volume of water to serve the entire area. The Engineer for Twin Lakes Village, Ino., has taken exception to providing the 8* pipe line in Highway 95 northerly of Riverside Drive but I have requested him to make some computations to prove to me that it le unnecessary. He has not yet presented his computations but I feel that the Water District will not approve the system as outlined on attached map without this connection in Highway 95* Would appreciate if you would give some thought to the over—all plan as proposed and X will discuss it with you probably next week.
