Padden - Los' Angeles I received a call, this date, from Mr. Max Chason, President of the Southern Nevada Disposal Company, whose address is 17 3& South Main Street, Las Vegas, Nevada— phone 6638 or 3h4l, Mr. Chason desires to secure a location on Union Pacific trackage where he oan establish & business of reclaiming waste paper resulting from M s operation of the disposal company. Mr. Chason states that if he is able to secure a alt® from the Union Pacific Railroad, he would probably install a paper press to bale scrap paper secured from his operations and ship it by railroad freight. The- bulk of his shipments being made to Los Angeles. Mr. Chason states that he estimates a probable shipment from 100- to 175 tons of baled- waste paper per month. 1 asked Mr. Chason what other product he would propose to put on the property, in the event he was able to secure a site, and he stated that he would confine his operations to waste paper only, &s he was very definitely not in the junk business. Mr. Chason would like to have a location in the vicinity of the City lard on West Bonanza Ro&d for his business. I requested Mr. Chason to contact Mr. Layne and give him a statement of his traffic possibilities in order that you may have them available when considering his request.
