William Coulth&rd P.0, Box 4?2 Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Sir: We are in receipt of your letter of July 17, 1953 relative to the increase in water rates due for the period Sept. 1952 through Dec. 1952. In checking your account, we find that on February 20, 1952 we received your check Mo, 586 in the amount of $28.00 which covered period of Jan. 1, 1952 through Dec. 31, 1952 plus the increase in the amount of $1,00 for tb? period Sept. 1951 through Dec. 1951. On July 6, 1953, we received your check No, bb62 in the amount of |18.00 which covered payment for water service from Jan. 1, 1953 through June 30, 1953 and the increase in rates due for Sept. 1952 through Dec*. 1952 in the amount of $1.80. Please note that the Water Co. was granted an in­crease in rates effective Sept. 1, 1951 from $2.00 per month to $2.25 and on Sept. 1, 1952 the Water Co. was granted another increase in rates from §2.25 per month to $2.70. Hoping the above will explain to your satisfaction the reason for the additional charge of $1,80. Very truly yours,
