MeNamee: Referring to your letter of March 27th and subsequent conversation concerning the filings on water producing facilities at Las Vegas. I note you advise that final proofs for Well No. 2, and I believe for Nos. 3 , 4, 5 and 6, should be filed before July 1, 1942, in view of which I have looked over available past production records and recent measurements, and suggest the following: 1 . It is my understanding that water and water rights of the Vegas Springs, i. e., Big Spring, Middle Spring and Little Spring, constitute a vested right, except for the 4 inches for the Stewart B^ial Plot, being acquired by W. A. Clark, later sold to the SPLA&SL RR Go., and subsequently sold to the Las Vegas Land and Water Co., in which concern the rights are now vested. 2. Applications were filed, and in some instances permits granted, for Wells Nos. 1 to o, inclusive, as follows; also listed in the following tabulation is present productive ability in accordance with our jnfggS measurements, and suggestion for any change that should he made in filing: Well -JSU Filing Present Prodn.
