April 22, 1948 W 23-1-50 Mr. Frank Chileon 130 South 4th Street Lae Vegas, Nevada Dear Sirs _ ^ Acknowledging your letter April 20th with which you submitted print showing proposed layout of water mains in Morningside Park Tract located south of Oakey Boulevard between 3rd and 6th Streetss The proposed layout appears to be generally satisfactory exoept that we have made some minor relocation# in the valves and would also prefer 8-ineh for the laterals in 3rd and 6th Streets and Reiber Avenue with 6-inoh cross grids as ahownf the reason for the recommended larger diameter of laterals Is because of the elevation of this traot with reference to the rest of the City. While it is difficult to quote an aoourats estimate because of the uncertainty of deliveries on pipe, we have prepared an estimate baaed on present day prices, which amounts to $41,400, labor and materials. This estimate includes a 10* contingency item, the unused portion of which will be returned to the Subdivider in accordance with our praotlos, Wt have not included firs hydrants in our estimate, as these are usually furnished by the City or the Subdivider, Very truly yours, LAS VEGAS LAND A WATER CO.
