Mr. Wm. Reinhardt: Las ¥egas - October 27, 19A8 V 2>I-fc9 Please cote the attached application from Earl Ronrath regarding water service to his tract located Just west of Westwood Park and north of the Scotch- Eighty. There are 10 lots In this tract, 8 of which have already been sold and one house Is already well under construction. Re installed a 6-inch steel line about two years ago from a well on the tract, but the supply of water from the well is inadequate. We recently completed construction of water lines in Westwood Park Tract under Work Order $f>9 and our nearest water main in that tract is now within about **00 feet of a connection with Ronrath*s steel line. The cost of such connection would be about fl5QO*0O, In conference with Uonrath, I offered to recommend that we acquire his line under the provisions of Rule 9-A, he to advance the cost of the A00 feet required to make the connection. Re offers a counterproposal to turn over the 8AO feet of 6- inch steel to us without any refunds if we will put the connection in at our cost, disconnecting from the well and serve the consumers in the tract. Will be glad to have the benefit of your advice. for ready reference, I attach print showing his line with reference to Westwood Park and proposed connection; also statement of cost 6 for installing the - inch steel line with service connections, which Ronrath states amounted to $1A46.00.
