Feb. 6, 1952 ! ^705-11-22 I & S Docket 127 Col. Howard F. Clark v D Chief Engineer and Manager Las Vegas Valley Water District 900 South Fifth Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Col* Clark* In line with your letter of January 29th, I quote from a letter received from our engineer relative to the approximate acreage in the pipe line easements and power line easements referred to In your letter. I say approximate because these figures, like yours, are based on map descriptions physical surveys. and not The main discrepancy seems to be that you had omitted from your calculations, the two eight-Inch water lines shown in the attached tabulation and If the acreage in these pipe lines are added to your figures you will find there is not a great deal of discrepancy btieotnw.een yOur figures and the ones set out in ray tabulaIt is Quite possible that Mr. Wehe’s statements were based on a rather rough and approximate scale while he was on the stand or possibly he had included in his figures some other pipe lines. There Is one thing I think should be given consideration in connection with this subject and that is the probability that it will be desirable to relocate these main waterfflines and power lines so they will not bisect the remaining property of the railroad company which would, of course, be undesirable in the event we desired to use the property for some other purpose.
