RE; LAS VEGAS VALLEY WATER DISTRICT Los Angelas, February 17, 1949 80-8 Mr. Calvin M. Cory, El Ranch Motel, Carson City, Nevada: Supplementing my letter to you of January 28th regarding the above district* I am enclosing a rough draft of a suggested amendment to the condemnation statutes of Nevada which would give any party to an eminent domain involving public utility property the right to require a reference of the issue of damages to the public Service Commission* I have been discussing the general idea of such a bill with Mr. Reinhardt and Mr. Bockes and I do not know whether ©r not we will finally decide to propose such a bill. The suggested amendment would undoubtedly have to be polished up and redrafted in the form of a bill if we decide to go ahead with the idea. I would like to obtain your comments on this general subject and also the provisions of the proposed amendments as soon as possible. E. E. Bennett Enel. ECR:LW I
