\ (b) the southerly 47.77 feet of land conveyed; subject to any rights in the public to use said strips of land designated as (a) and (b) for roadway purposes; subject to: 1 - General and special taxes for the fiscal year 1947-1948, including any special district levies, payment for which is included therein and collected therewith; 2 - Conditions, restrictions, reservations, easements and encumbrances of record; consideration $>10.00 and other good and valuable consideration; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. On motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the action of Vice President Strong in approving on behalf of this Company letter agreement, dated May 6, 1947, with Otis Elevator Company, covering increase in consideration from $>23.60 to $>31.90, payable monthly by this Company, for services of said Otis Elevator Company in maintaining one passenger elevator, located at 422 West 6th Street, Los Angeles, California, covered by agreement C.A. No. 10194, dated May 11, 1942, which agreement provides for reconsideration and adjustment of said price every five.years; said agreement being subject to termination by either party upon thirty days' written notice; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. Following Authority for Expenditure Requests, approved by the President, were submitted for ratification: V/.O. #570, issued Mar. 24, 1947; Ontario, Calif.; acquire parts of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Block 109, Villa Plots, South Side Tract, being parts of Parcels 491, 492, 491-A-l and 491-B-l, Map V-6-2-128, containing and area of 76,915 sq. ft.; acquired from LA&SLRRCo. by Deed Audit No. L.S. 1549. Total estimated expenditure, $3,846, chargeable to Warehouses, Packing Houses and Equipment - California. -5-
