Los Angeles, August 25, 1950 1-7334 Mr. A. M. Folger; Referring to your letter of February 17th, file W 23-3-3-A, with whieh you forwarded copy of report of survey made by Foreman Anderson, Poliee Captain Thompson and Mr. Gardner of your ©ffiee, showing number and location of coolers and other equipment in the City of Las Vegas not equipped with recapture devices as required by City ordinance: In the last paragraph you stated that you would follow up each of the exceptions noted, and if the condition was not corrected, matter would be referred to the Police Department for issuance of citation. While it is my understanding you have re checked each of the exceptions, we have not been advised as to whether or not the violations have been corrected. Will you please advise as to each of the exceptions noted in your report and what action was taken in each ease where the violation had not been corrected. We agreed to reimburse the City for the cost of two special Officers to check water wastage during the period May 15th to September 15th. It would appear that with the lifting of sprinkling restrictions, the activities of these officers have been materially reduced and they could be assigned to make a recheck to see that all water using facilities throughout the city are being properly maintained to eliminate wastage. Please take this matter up with City authorities and advise. Wm. Reinhardt
