Las Vegas, Nevada, December 20, 1923. Mr. W. H. Comstock, General Manager, Los Angeles Sa Salt Lake R. R. Co., Los Angeles, C aliforn ia. Dear S ir: Acknowledging receipt of your le tte r of December 17th with enclosed le tte r fo r the City Betterment Association, which I have read with much pleasure and dropped in the mail addressed to E. M. Dobbs, Secretary. 1 think your le tte r fu lly covered the ground and explained the position of the Railroad Company and, while every word of it is true, it is absolutely up to the townspeople to figh t their battles and X re a lly believe they are at least making an e ffo rt in that lin e. I note the resolutions passed by the differen t organizations were marked copy and X am retaining same fo r my f i le s . Yours truly, B/H
