Las Vegas, Nevada May E3rd, 1921 Mr. J. Ross Clark, President, Las Vegas Land & Water Co., Los Angeles, California. Lear Sir; After so many weeks of diokering back and forth concerning the sale of that plot of ground east of Clark’s Las Vegas Townsite, I "beg to herewith submit you a letter from W. E. Hawkins and associates, who are wanting to purchase the same. The first tenative offer covering this was for a nominal payment, and they to install water mains, curbings, etc., but as this matter would have involved us into an agreement to furnish them water and require Us to amend our franchise covering Las Vegas Townsite, I have accepted from them another offer as per Mr. Hawkins letter herewith enclosed, which is at the same price wherein they agree to pay cash for the entire plot, and after I have had the matter up with Mr, MoNamee, our Attorney, and herewith submit his opinion concerning any liability we would have in reference to being required to carry water out there, I am now of the opinion that it would be well for us to dispose of this ground at the cash price offered, and if this so meets with your approval, kindly advise me and have deed prepared covering that plot of ground and mailed to the First State Bank of lias Vegas, Nevada, Inc. Yours truly, Vioe-Pres. & Agent
