\ as directed by Chief Engineer of the Land Company or his authorized representative, to be placed no later than December 1, 1 9 6 6 , and without cost to the Land Company for the dirt or placing of said dirt; Flood Control District to indemnify Land Company and to procure insurance; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. On motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the action of Vice President Payne and Secretary Dixon in executing C.L.D. No. 15^70, agreement dated June 10, 1 9 6 6 , between Las Vegas Land and Water Company and Walter*s k00 Carpets, Inc., dba Peirce Carpet Mills, collect­ively called "Occupiers”, and Los Angeles County Flood Control District, called "Licensee", granting Licensee permission to use portion of Land Company's property which is under one year option (LVL&WCo. Contract Audit No. 10990 dated December lty, 1 9 6 5 ) to Walter's ^00 Custom Carpets, for the purpose of a by-pass road, in City of Industry, California; Licensee to con­duct operations in manner satisfactory to and with prior approv­al of Occupiers, and to indemnify and hold harmless Occupiers from and against any and all liability, and to remove all mater­ials at Licensee's sole expense and restore the area to condition existing prior to use as a by-pass road; license to continue to and including July 22, 1 9 6 6 ; in event Licensee has not stopped use of the area as a by-pass road by July 22, 1 9 6 6 , Licensee shall pay Occupiers the sum of $250.00 for each day after July 2 2 , 1 9 6 6 , that the area continues to be used as a by-pass road; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. -5-
