In computing such return for any calendar year the adjusted book value of the water production facilities for said year shall be deemed to be the average of the adjusted book value thereof at the beginning of the year and the adjusted book value thereof at the end of the same year. Section 4, When the .Railroad Companies shall have completed the rearrangement and improvement of their water production and distribution facilities in and around the shop grounds and railroad yards at Las Vegas, Nevada, the Railroad Companies shall cause the Certificate of Appropriation referred to in the recitals of this agreement to be transferred from said Well No. 1 referred to in said recitals to the existing well of the Railroad Companies and such additional wells as the Railroad Companies shall drill in and around the said shop grounds. Thereupon the obligation of the Water Company to deliver water to the Railroad Companies shall cease, and Railroad Companies shall be relieved of any obligations under Sections 2 and | of this agreement except such obligations as shall have accrued prior to the time the Water Company shall cease to deliver water to the Railroad Companies as aforesaid.
