January 30, 1956 8 0 -11 Mr. Thomas A. Campbell, President Las Vegas Valley Water District 919 West Bonanza Road P. 0. Box 1109 Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Campbell: You will recall that under the contract dated June 1, 1953, between the railroads and the Water District, it was provided in Section 5,sub-division (d) thereof, that the Water District would relocate the present pumping station, now located at the point indicated in sub-division (d) of the contract and shown on the map, Exhibit A, attached thereto, to a new location, likewise indicated on that map. To that end the railroads deeded a small square parcel of land to the Water District for relocating the pumping station. I now understand that the Water District does not intend to relocate the former pumping station, which has been abandoned, and under the circumstances I would appreciate if the District would give consideration to deeding back to the railroads the small parcel of land heretofore given to the Water District for the proposed relocated pumping station. Since the District apparently is not intending to ever locate a pumping station at that point, it would clear our title to a quarter section of land by eliminating therefrom the small parcel of land deeded to the Water District for this proposed pumping station. I would appreciate if this matter might be brought to the Attention of the Board of Directors ing. at their next meetYours very truly, EEB:ps E. E. Bennett cc Mr. W. C. Renshaw
