I agree.i Los Angeles - Marchll, 195^ 80-11 Mr. Wm. Reinhardt: In connection with the attached letter from the Acting City Manager of the City of Las Vegas, I asked Mr. Maag to talk to Mr. Rounthwalte and explain to him the complications which would be caused by a joint lease in view of the terms of the outstanding contract that we deed the property free and clear of all encumbrances except those specified in the contract. Mr. Maag called me today and stated that he had talked to Mr. Rounthwalte and told him that initially all we would care to give would be a license or temporary lease, terminable automatically when the transfer of the land was made. Mr. Rounthwalte did not think much of this idea. Mr. Maag then suggested that Mr. Rounthwalte might look around and find some other property, either owned by us and not to be deeded to the Water District, or owned by private individuals, and Mr. Rounthwalte is going to look immediately and advise further. Under the circumstances, since his letter does not require an answer, I think you can sit back and see what happens. E. E. Bennett EEBjps
