MCNAMEE & MCNAMEE Attorneys at Law EL. PORTAL BUILDING LAS YEGAS, NET ADA Telephone 1868 April 20, 1954 E. E. B. APR 21 1954 Mr. Calvin M. Cory Cornett Building Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Cory: I have your letter of April 19, enclosing copy of Mr. Bennett's letter of April 15 addressed to Mr. Hamilton relative to the discontinuance of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company as a public utility. In the same mail I received a copy of Mr. Hamilton's letter dated April 19, 1954, addressed to Mr. Bennett, in which Mr. Hamilton suggests that the communication to the Public Service Commission be framed both as a notice to discontinue service, and as an application to discontinue service. In this I agree with Mr. Hamilton, although in my opinion the application is not necessary providing the notice contains all of the details of the character and nature of the discontinuance. I also think the notice should request the Commission to appoint a time and place for the hearing, which should be some day on or after the twentieth day from the date of the filing of the notice. Very truly yours, LAM:nd Leo A. McNamee ccs to: O'Melveny & Myers, 413 So. Spring Street, Los Angeles 13, California Mr. £. E. Bennett, U.P.R.R.
