(COPY) CONSENT TO SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY WATER DISTRICT AND WAIVER OF NOTICE THEREOF. The undersigned, Directors of the Las Vegas Valley Water District, hereby consent to the holding of a special meeting of the Board of Directors of said District for the purposes hereinafter mentioned at 4____o'clock P_. M., on the 1st day of June_______, 1953j at the office of Campbell Realty Company, 135 South 4th Street, City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and hereby waive notice of said special meeting. The purpose of said meeting is to determine the provisions of a certain proposed agreement and to determine whether the President and Secretary shall be authorized to execute the same for and on behalf of said District. Said above mentioned proposed agreement is by and between the Las Vegas Valley Water District and the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, the Union Pacific Railroad Company and the Las Vegas Land and Water Company, and, in general, provides for the purchase and acquisition by the District of certain water-bearing lands, water rights and certain water production, storage, transmission and distribution facilities in the City of Las Vegas and now owned by said companies.
