Cory Calvin M. Aug,.18, 1953 80-11 Mr, Calvin Magleby Las Vegas Valley Water District 900 South Fifth Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Magleby: In connection with the coming bond election, if and when held, I wonder if you do not think it desirable for you to make up a list of the various organizations in the City of Las Vegas and possibly in Henderson and North Las Vegas before whom short talks might be made at their regular meetings in connection with registration for voting and also for voting "yes" on the bond election. I presume that in addition to the customary Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions etc. there are other organizations such as women’s clubs and in particular women’s lodges who have regularly scheduled meetings and possibly, if you could make up a list of those and advise the date of their regularly scheduled meetings, we could arrange to have some of the Directors of the District make a short talk before them. It would seem desirable, after the date has been set for the election, to have a talk made urging registration of all property owners in the district and at the same time put in a plug for a "yes vote" on the bond issue. I am quite sure Harry Miller would be glad to make a few talks and possibly when Mr. Coulthard comes back we could get him to say a few words. I am just suggesting this for your consideration if you think it worth while to be developed any further. Very truly yours E. E. Bennett
