Stoddard and Reinhardt concerning unofficial returns in the Water Company bond election held September 30, 1953, please be advised that the official returns show 5,836 yea and 1,874 nay. The total vote of 7,710 is 82$ of the total registered and qualified voters of 9,361, and represents an all time record for voting at bond elections in this area. All of the members of the Board of Directors of the Las Vegas Valley Water District have expressed their sincere appreciation for the wholehearted cooperation and helpful suggestions of representatives of the Union Pacific Railroad, and each of them attribute much of the success of the bond election to our combined efforts.
