MeGhie - Las Vegas) I have your letter of October 9* 1952, your files 88-7 and 139-12, regarding sale of the water system at Las Vegas to the Las Vegas Valley Water District pursuant to Contract (C.B. Ho. 39722) dated June 1, 1953. There is no provision in the purchase and sale contract for transferring to the District any materials and supplies carried in the accounts of the Union Pacific Railroad Company. We intentionally avoided injecting the Railroad material and supply accounts into the bargain. If the material and supplies referred to by you having a value of approximately $2*517.46 are actually being held by the Railroad for .use in the Las Vegas water system, they should now be sold and transferred to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company if it is the desire of the Railroad Company to dispose of the material. Of course such a transfer is not required if the Railroad Company desires to retain the, material and supplies for use elsewhere. E. 1. Bennett E C R : MSB
