V Los Angeles, February 11, 1953 80-11 Mr, C, M. Bates* (ce - Mr, R. L, Adamson (2) Mr., L. R. Maag) Mill you please furnish me with a legal description of the 507 acres of land which we propose to convey to the Las Vegas Valley Water District for use in drawing the final contract. Will you also obtain a complete copy of the deed from Helen J. Stewart to W. A, Clark, dated December 8, 1902, recorded in Book V of Real Estate Deeds, Page 222, Lincoln County, Nevada, Records, reserving water rights in the grantor, as well as a copy of the deed conveying the water bearing lands by W. A* Clark to the Railroad. In drawing the final contract it will be necessary to grant easements to the District for the transmission lines connecting the water field to the distribution system and lines to be conveyed to the District which will serve the industries formerly served by the Railroad. The general location of some or all of these lines is indicated on Exhibit "A-l" attached to the agreement marked Exhibit "A" submitted by the District with their proposal of purchase dated January 31, 1953* 1 wish you would furnish a description of the various easements * which will be granted. I presume the best way to do this is to furnish a center-line description. If it is necessary that these lines be surveyed in order to definitely locate them, such work should commence immediately so that we can conclude as soon as possible the final agreement. Will you also please furnish me the legal description of the property to be conveyed to the District for relocated pumping station at point R on Exhibit "A-l". £. E. Bennett ECR:MSB
