It is my understanding, subject to confirmation by Mr* Montgomery, that the gross amount (including 10$ for supervision) is approximately $352,000, I understand from Mr, Bennett of Union Pacifie that in view of the expense involved the maps used as exhibits will not be lithographed but that Union Pacific will have their draftsman prepare enough copies for the final executed contract. Accordingly, it is not possible to give you at this time a large supply of maps. The copies of the maps already in your hands are substantially the same maps which will appear on the final contract. Union Pacific will provide Mr, Montgomery with final copies of the maps which are used as exhibits so that Mr. Montgomery may check all descriptive references in the agreement against the maps.
