' Acknowledging receipt of your letter under date of veb. 20th making inquiry concerning piece of ground between the townsite and the springs, descrin** tion as follows - ^ Si of the H.W.i Section 32, T. 20p, K. 61E You will note that this ground is between springs and townsite, and much lower than our springs or reservoir, and in no case would I recommend that either this piece of any other of our holdings between springs and townsite be sold. If this piece of ground was sold to Mr. Kiley, hie intention was to cut the same up into five and ten acre lots, and they will undoubtedly bore for artesian water in a number of places, and while this might not in any way affect our springs it is reasonable to suppose that being below the same and so dose that we are taking a very grave chance in allowing any boring for artesian water on any of our ground between springs and townsite. n • I am expecting to be in Los Angeles one day this week and will call in and seeyou personal!y concern ing this matter. 5 SI ice ^3?es* # Agenl
