I agree.?3- reffioved lioai Addition, sod dls0isi®d situation with Mar, Bracken. While he admitted renewal <*f pipe is necessary at this time, he stated in his opinion it is largely due to the action of soil' on the asphalt coating and wires. He further advised that the pipe sold to the Hawkins interests in 1933 carried a guarantee cm workmanship only, and that for a period of just one year. Taking everything into consideration, we are quite certain we cannot obtain any adjustment from the Paoific Tank and Pipe Company. W* 0. 341 authorises renewal of only that portion of the wood stave pipe in Hawkins Addition which has failed and is expensive to maintain. Apparently, the soil in that immediate vicinity is worse than in other portion of the Addition. We hope the remaining wood pipe will last several years longer. Mr. Jeffers* letter Soveiaber 2?th is returned herewith* MBS R. l>. Adamson
