    In order that prompt steps may he taken to place the above arrangement in effect as soon as possible, am enclosing herewith Railroad Company original of proposed lease by the Railroad Company of Land and Water Company water facilities at Yermo, and terminating contract Audit No. 6177 between the . parties. The map accompanying this agreement was sent me with your memorandum April 20th, drawing No. 33543, and the valuation figures used in the lease have been furnished by Valuation Engineer Perkins. If the lease is satisfactory, it should be approved by Division Engineer, Superintendent and yourself and promptly returned to me for submission to our executives. At the present time there are 63 service tapa_ of the LVL&W Co. at Yermo, and the Railroad Company is serving 3 families with water. Data should be secured with as little delay as possible for submission of form 30 to cover purchase of necessary meters. Mr. Adamson1s office has determined that 5/8 inch Hereey meter can be purchased for $10.50 each, Empire for $12.75 and Neptune for $10.00. to which they estimated should be added $1.20 for box and cover, $5.00 for labor and 2# store expense. It is desired that the appropriation requested to cover installation of the meters be kept under $1,000.00. The Law Department here will prepare contracts to cover use of water by individual customers, but the approval of proposed lease and. purchase of the necessary meters should be expedited all possible.
