Lae Vegas - February 12, 1954 Mr. James M. Montgomery 15 North Oakland Pasadena, California Dear Mr. Montgomery: The City of Las Vegas has entered Into construotion contract for the extension of trunk line aewers in the City of Las Vegaa and has requested the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to grant certain easements over and across the lands of this company* ownership of which will he conveyed to the Las Vegas Valley Water District under terms of Agreement **C8L.D. 11342 dated June 1, 1933 covering sale of Water Company to Water District. Based on information furnished me by the City authorities, X understand the City is anxious to obtain these easements at the earliest possible date, and it is my thought that it might sxpedit matters somewhat if I would present the matter to you for your comment and possible approval as to engineering features of the granting of the easements requested prior to the presentation to the Board of Directors of the Las Vegas Valley Water Distriot. In view of the above I am submitting herewith one map prepared by this company dated February 11, 1954, which shows in green color the location and width of easements requested by the City over and across lands which it is proposed to sell to the District under the terms of Agreement “CL.D, 11342 mentioned, above. I am also attaching one copy of the letter dated February 2, 1954, from the City of Las Vegas requesting the easements mentioned above.
