I agree.( C O P Y ) JAMES M. MONTGOMERY Consulting Engineer Mr. Thomas A. Campbell 135 South Fourth Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Campbell: The coming summer will undoubtedly be the most critical with respect to water supply that the community has ever known. At the present rate of progress it will be impossible for the Water District to develop new sources of supply in time for the coming season of highwater demand. It is my recommendation that the Water District authorize the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to develop or acquire additional production facilities as quickly as possible. I feel that this is the only means now available to assure the required supply before the heavy demand begins. The new facilities should be so located that they will not interfere with the existing Land and Water Company wells. This may require the adquisition of new well sites. I feel that in view of the recent growth of Las Vegas the supply should be Increased by about 4 to 5 million gallons per day. If you should decide to proceed with this program, I shall be glad to cooperate with the Land and Water Company in any way possible. Very truly yours, JMM:mg /s/ James M. Montgomery James M.
