BENNETT: Sr. Commissioner, in view of the testimony of Mr. Shamberger and Mr, Jameson that there is a very definite possibility and probability that the installation of pumps on one to three wells of the Company would increase the water supply sufficiently to take care of the peak shortage periods, Mr. Beinhardt has stated—has authorised me to state—and he will concur In this in the record, that the Water Company is willing, as soon as pumps can be procured, to install pumps on Wells 9, 10 or 11, or, If necessary, all three, under the supervision of the State Engineer and the City Engineer, and with their cooperation, and make what might be called a Progress Report of the increased production, and what I might call the net increase production, and the effect of it on adjacent wells, that report to be dependent on the ability to get pumps by the 1st of February, Meanwhile, the case can be held ©pen because we have not presented our case; and by that time, if the report Is not satisfactory to the Commission and to the City, the case will be opened in plenty of time to have the Commission issue an Order with respect to the 1951 summer season. MB, CANNON: I have authority to consent to all of that except that the report should be in by the 1st of January. That is the extent of my authorisation at this time. MR. BlNNITs* We had that in our agreement but sxxxxax our engineer states there might be some difficulty in getting a pump—possibly thirty or sixty days. We have a situation in Korea, and that is Why we added a month to it. We can make it 167.
