0 0 ? f STATE or NEVADA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION Carson City# Nevada November 23, 1961 Mr. E. E. Bennett, General Solicitor Ihiion Pacific Railroad 422 W. Sixth Street Los Angeles 14, California Osar Eds On November 21 there was sent to the las Vegas Land and Water Company at Las Vegas, a copy of Las Vegas land and Water Company First Revised Sheet PSCW Mo. 2, cancelling Original Sheet PSCN No, 2, to become effeetl e December 1, 1951> copy of which is enclosed for your files. The only change in this sheet is for bungalow court (motel) and provides for a rate for the first unit instead of all units being based upon the sans rate. This sheet was revised by the Commission. In the Commission's original opinion and order, dated August 24, 1951, bungalow courts and motels were assigned a rate of $1.10 per month for each living unit without toilet or bath, and 11.65 per month for each living unit with toilet or bath. These rates were based on 1©£ increase over the old rates In effect at the time of the hearing. The Commission is of the opinion that it was in error at that time in that it did not take into consideration the stipulation entered Into at the time of the hearing between the water company and the motel operators association In that any rate orescribed for motels for ths first unit should not be in excess of that prescribed for a private residence* which in this ease is $1.66, plus 3C& for each tub or shower, plus for each toilet. We also beliefs that the 8f# rate for each unit without kitchen sad 11.15 for each unit with kitchen, and a rate of 24 per 140 sq.ft, for irrigation is in line with the above-referred to stipulation. Tou will also recall that in the order the Commission retained Jurisdiction in the premises for the purpose of amending any rate, rule or regulation as it deems proper. 1 trust in ?iew of the above explanation that your company will have no objection to the revised sheet becoming effective December 1* 1981.
