COPY IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION ) OF THE LAS VEGAS LAND AND WATER COMPANY ) FOR EMERGENCY RELIEF BY AMENDING CERTAIN ) Case No. 1214 OF ITS RULES AND REGULATIONS ) At a general session of the Public Service Commission of Nevada, held at its offices in Carson City, Nevada, November 23, 1951 PRESENT: Chairman Robert A. Allen Commissioner Hugh A. Shamberger Secretary Lee S. Scott BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF NEVADA ORDER IT APPEARING That there has been filed with this Commission an application by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to amend its Rule 9.5 reading as follows: (a) The Company will make no extensions of its mains to provide water service in areas of the City of Las Vegas not theretofore served by water mains of the Company subsequent to December 1, 1951, unless a contract for such exten­sion of mains under the existing rules of the Company shall have been entered into prior to December 1, 1951. (b) The Company will make no new connec­tions for water service to any domestic, com­mercial or industrial establishment after Dec­ember 1, 1951, unless applicatioh for such connection shall have been made to the Company prior to December 1, 1951. No such applica­tion shall be accepted unless such establish­ment is completed or under construction on December 1, 1951. to become effective by the issuance of an ex parte order for an interim period pending investigation and hearings and IT FURTHER APPEARING That the application has been protested by the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas without having had opportunity to be heard in the matter; and IT. FURTHER APPEARING That the Commission deems it advisable in the premises to approve said rule on an interim basis, IT IS ORDERED That the application be, and the same is hereby, approved on an interim basis, effective December 1, 1951, pending
