No- 8 VICTORY GARDEN RATE For the purpose of this rate, a Victory Garden is defined as a plot of ground not less than 400 square feet in area, either located on the premises of a present consumer of water of this Company, or located off the premises of a present consumer of water of this Com­pany, where edible vegetables or berries are produced. Whenever, on or after the effective date of this rate, there is already installed a water meter on any premise served by the Water Company, and upon which premise is located a Victory Garden, as defined above, and the monthly reading of water meter exceeds that of the corresponding month for the year 1941, such excess water shall be charged for as follows: For each 1000 gallons or fraction thereof, 6(2? per M gallons. 'Whenever any customer desires water for a Victory Garden as defined above and the necessary service pipe and meter are not already installed on said premises, the water Company will, at its own expense, install the necessary 3/4 inch pipe and meter to the curb line of the street free of charge, providing the amount of pipe does not exceed 40 feet in length, the pipe and meter so installed re­maining the property of the Company. In all cases where new installations are made by the Company at its expense, the minimum charge per irrigating season of five months will be Fifteen (*13.00) Dollars, payable in five equal monthly installments of Three (33*00) Dollars per meter per month, which is based on a minimum of fifty thousand gallons p^r month.
