We discontinued water service to Hotel Biltmore last Friday, July 22, for non-payment of Mils. Power Company and telephone Company had also discontinued service and the hotel ceased operation July 18. Ifeaterday hen Weiner of the lav firm of Jones, Weiner and Jones, .telephoned requesting the water be turned b&clc on so shrubbery could be watered. 1 advised him we could not resume service after same was once discontinued until delinquent Mils had been paid, which are as follows March 142.20 April 50.20 June 80.20 Weiner had repeatedly premised to pay the March and April bills and on the strength thereof we took into account the May bill which was paid by the interim operators, the Texas—13ev&da Corporation, who were operating the hotel as a resort for colored people. Weiner** contention is that they were the temporary owners and we should look to the Texas—Sevada Corporation for payment of the June bill and that if we did not resume service he would take it up with the Public Service Comalsalon. Chairman Allard phoned from Carson City last night saying that Weiner had threatened to eite the Water Company and asked the Commission to issue an order requiring as to tarn on the water. Mr. Allard «aid he would not issue an order until it was proved that the Water Company had violated any of its regula­tions; and in view of the fact that no stop order had been issued by the original owners and oar Mils were always rendered against Hotel Blltmore he did not feel Justified in Issuing such an order, especially in view of the fact that the complainants could nay the delin­quent charges under protest if they wished and allow the legal aspects to be Ironed out later.
