LEETE, Trbas., Los Angeles, Cal. Offices • 507 Pacific Electric Building LOS ANGELES, OAL. AND LAS YEGAS, NEY. Subject: Water Rent, Thomas Block. F. A. WA TER S, A g t ., LOS ANGELE S, CAL. /34 Los Angeles, Oal., May 7th, 1907. Mr. Walter R. Bracken, Dear Sir Agent, Las Vegas. I have your favor of the 3rd instant enclosing letter from Dan V. Inland objecting to rate charged for water furnished the Thomas Block.. As I understand the matter, the objection is only made to the charges for water furnished on the 2nd floor. I would suggest that you have Mr. Boland submit to you a written^statement of the present conditions under which water is used on the 2nd floor in the block; that is, the number of rooms there are and what the rooms are used for, and for what purpose the water is used. Mr. Boland speaks about hotels and rooming houses and other services for which charges are made in the Townsite information and in addition to the-?—------ suggested above regarding the conditions on the 2nd floor of the Thomaa Block, would also ask whether they consider the 2nd floor of that block as a rooming proposition or as an office building; or exactly how they would designate it. Upon receipt of this statement the matter will be. submitted to the proper officials for consideration, and if any lower rate is made than the one of which you have been advised, the payments that you have been made on that basis will be adjusted upon a new basis. . Please make collections at the old rate until the matter has been acted upon. Yours truly, Vice President and Auditx/r.
