I agree.PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION STATE OP NEVADA Cal'©cm City, Nevada September 9, 1952 Mr. w. H. Johnson, Secretary Las Vegas Land and Water Company 422 West Sixth Street Los Angeles 14, California Dear Mr. Johnsons This Commission acknowledges the receipt of a copy of a letter addressed to the El Portal Theatre for the attention of Mr. E. W. Cr&gin. We note your argument with Mr. Oragin and while you are entirely within the law in stating the matter the way you did, we are wondering if you have analyzed the situation correctly. It seems to us that a restudy should be made of this matter since the charge based on the ton capacity of a refrigeration machine Is rather archaic and was made at the time when cooling water was run through a machine and then dumped into the sewer. Modern refrigeration machinery for cooling purposes is much more efficient and uses much less water because of its reuse, Will you kindly make a restudy of this matter and see if the customer cannot be helped out. V® also note that the charge you state as being made by your company is for the period January 1st to August 31st for a fifty ton machine and we are wondering If it is necessary or if water was used for cooling purposes during the winter period. We should like an answer to these questions from you. Sincerely yours, PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OP NEVADA Robert A* Allen ROBERT A ALLEN Chairman lit
