    KOTICH OF PROTEST TO: The Public Service Commission State of Nevada Carson City, leva&a Re: Las fegaa Land and Water Company Charges for Water for Refrigeration Machines* Rates charged as filed with Public Service Commission effective September 1* 1951. The undersigned, Cornet Stores, hereinafter called, the Protestant, hereby protests the charges mad© by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company for water used In refrigera­tion machines operated by the Protestant in its Las Vegas, Xevada, store for the period trm. January 1, 195a, to and including August 31, 1952, or at all, upon the grounds herein­after stated, and said Protestant does hereby represent and allege as follows: 1. That said Protestant is a corporation authorized to do business in the State of Nevada, and is doing business at Fourth and. Fremont Streets, Las Vegas, Revada. 2. That the Las Vegas Land and Water Company is a corporation authorized to do business in the State of JSevada and is engaged in the business of supplying water to the in­habitants of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, and in such capacity is a public utility* 3. That the rates and charges assessed by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company for water used by Protestant im its refrigeration machines, which are for cooling its store building and offices, is arbitrary and exorbitant and has no reasonable relation to the quantity of water so used or the purposes for which used. 4.
