All the minerals that were originally in the water remain after evaporation. To avoid excessive concentration of the minerals, dirt and solids from accumulat­ing in the recirculating system and in the refrigeration con­densers, it is necessary to maintain a continuous waste drain off or “bleed” of the water recirculated in addition to that which is wasted by evaporation. - 2 -
