Bennett Mr. 0* M* Cory Please refer to ray letter of July 9* 1953 relative to amended rat# Ho. 21 covering air conditioning and refrigeration wl&oh w&s submitted in compliance with the Public Service Comraisalona order dated June 16# 1953 in I & S Docket MM Case No. 1221. Amended rate sheet was furnished with ray letter of July 9th, and was filed with the Commission by Mr. Bennett as LVL&W Company Second Bewlsed Sheet PSOH #3 effective May 1, 1953 sometime subsequent thereto* Mr* Bennett advised that proposed ratm are now effective. It will be noted that ray letter indicates a field survey will be required to .determine the number and capacity of refrigeration equipment, ice making equipment and evaporative coolers before any revenue could be obtained for the Company under the araended rate #21. In order to make the field survey mentioned, it will be necessary that X employ §| qualified men for an estimated period of two months, at an estimated cost of $3,000 to conduct a thorough field investigation so that when we start billing for this service we will be able to start the billings on the same date for all of the customers involved. As a suggestion of another way to make the above mentioned survey would be to employ some firm familiar with air conditioning and refrigeration matters on a lump sura basis which would have the advantage of possibly better qualified sen than I could get for the work of setting up the ratings and capacities for the various forms
