At recent city election entire board running on platform vigorously advocating municipal ownership both light and water facilities and since their installation June 1 still active in same cause. We have been unable prevail on commis­sioners to pass city ordinance as they did last year to assist in protecting against unnecessary waste of water during summer months. Am advised board has applied PWA for $200,000 loan for municipal water system but able block this for time being thru PWA officials Reno. Messrs Knickerbocker and Bennett advised of political situa­tion both prior to and since recent municipal election but efforts made did not prevent election these candidates. b«22
