v The Water Company wishes to express its appreciation to the people of Las Yegas for their coop eration during the month of June, in reducing waste of this essential commodity. Since the public was first informed in the Las Yegas Evening Review-Journal during the fore part of June, tvhpn excessive use of water first became apparent, the people of this city realizing the seriousness of a lack of water during the hot summer months, have voluntarily cut down the water w aste so that during the night hours we were able, with the assistance of the pump in the railroad yards, to bring the water in the reservoir to a safe level. The supply of water flowing from the well and springs is sufficient for all requirements if the w ater is used only where actually needed, and not wasted. Please do not permit your hose to run out into the street, and if you have a leaky faucet or a water valve that cannot be properly closed, pleas e have it fixed. It is expected that this emergency will exist for only about 90 days, and your continued cooperation during this period will avoid the necessity of strict regulation. Las Vegas Land & Water Co.
