I agree.(COPY) Omaha - July 24, 1941 T> 386-4 Mr* Charles Adams - Los Angeles: Referring to contract Audit.No. 7322, dated March 30 1929, effective April 1, 1929, with Las Vegas Land and Water C covering easement to carry water through Railroad company’s water pipe lines from Las Vegas Springs, artesian well and other sources to a connection with the pipe line of Las Vegas Land and Water Company in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. As outlined in agreement, the monthly rental rate should he based on the total expense in connection with maintaining and operating the railroad-owned facilities used in common by the L.V.L.& W. Co. and the Railroad Company, plus the carrying charges on the facilities consisting of interest, taxes and depreciation incurred during the previous year. The bases used in setting up carrying charges since the effective date of the contract, and confirmed by you on March 6, 1939, have been as follows: Interest - Qf0 on total valuation Depreciation - 4% ” " ” Taxes - f>1.75 per f100.00 of valuation Please advise whether any change should; be made in our bases for computing taxes in establishing the rental rate for the years 1940 and 1941, B.
