V US \ UNION PACIFIC SYSTEM LOS ANGELES & SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY F. H. KNICKERBOCKER, GENERAL MANAGER 823 ™F,C ELECTRIC BUILDING LOS ANGELES. CAL. May 20, 1927 Mr. W. B, Bracken, 085-555 Vice President and Agent, las Vegas Band and Water Company las Vegas, Nevada. Dear Sir: I am enclosing original of proposed agreement between Dos Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company and Das Vegas Band and Water Company, covering sale of water at Das Vegas by the former to the latter. Will you kindly review the document, and if satisfactory, approve and return it. It is expected that Mr. Calvin will execute it on the part of the Band and Water Company. In this connection, you will note that during the first 9 months the Band and Water Company is to pay the Railroad Company $500.00 per month for use of pipe line and adjuncts, the consideration after that period to be based upon the Band and Water Company's use of the line, as determined by meter readings. As stated in the contract, $500.00 per month represents, as nearly as it can now be estimated, a fair rental for the use of the pipe line and adjuncts when consideration is given to the investment of the Railroad Company in the facilities, cost of maintenance, repairs and operation thereof and relative use made by the Band and Water Company. In reviewing the contract will you please give consideration to this charge and advise if, in view of the number of consumers supplied,(direct by the BVI&W Company and through Public Utilities) the Band and Water Company will be able to operate
