I agree.Mr. H.I. Bettis, Lcs Angeles, Cal. Bear Sir: Referring to your telegram of August 4, making inquiry concerning fire pressure, I &eg to take this opportunity to advise you that there has been quite'a good deal of comment concerning this matter of late and the committees have been appointed both by the Chamber of Commerce and the City Commissioners to look the matter up. I have been requested to accompany their committee for a personal interview'.with Mr. Mutt which we will possibly do on his return from the East. In looking over the matter for the past few weeks, my opinion now is that it would be a good thing for us to request the.city to put in their own fire pressure mains and pump station, we allowing them the privilege of establishing their pump house down on the creek about opposite block 1. In this way we would be entirely relieved of any responsibility and would not be required to put in any high pressure mains and I think by proper persuasion they might be induced to handle this matter entirely through the City Commissioners and with the city funds. Yours truly, C.C.--H.C. Mutt Las V egas, N e v ., S e p t. 8, 1913.
