I agree.31. of 230 feet, but the comparatively high velocity recorded at 230 feet, together with the obstruction, indicate that there may be a large leakage ? at that depth. * Record of velocity in well 25 Deptji (feet) Velocity (feet per second) Depth (feet) Velocity (feet per second) Depth (feet) Velocity (feet per second) Depth (feet) Velocity (feet per second) 19 .01 169 .07 189 .18 222 .19 44 .00 172 .07 194 .19 224 .19 69 .01 177 .08 199 .19 227 .19 94 .02 179 .11 209 .19 228 .19 119 .04 184 .13 214 .19 229 .19 144 .07 186 .14 217 .19 230 .35 152 .07 187 .15 219 .19 167 .07 188 .18 220 .19 Well 26 Well 26 is known as Syndicate well No. 6. It is provided with a valve to control the flow. The top of the valve is about at the height to which the artesian water will rise, and, as the pressure varies from day to day, the flow is intermittent. The meter would not pass an obstruction about 4 feet below the surface. Well 27 Well 27 is owned by J. 0. Blevins. The flow is under control. The meter was lowered into this well on August 25 to a depth of 345 feet below the top of the valve, about 4 feet above ground, and no underground leakage was found.
