mm Las Vegas, Ner. , Get. 26, 1909, Mr. H. X. Bettis, Vice Pres. &. Auditor, 1 as Vegas Land A Water Co, , Loo Angeles, Cal. Lear Sir,- X was sorry to learn from Worrell, who returned from Xos Angeles a day or so age, that you were displeased concerning the location of our water meters. My object in installing those meters, was to have it dene with as little expense as possible} and, therefore, I did not think of your wanting them outside of the property line, for in that case if would have required more time and more labor in the way of ditching and making boxes for the meters. And as you did not mention this in your letter of October 16th, I did not think it was necessary. The meters as now placed, are all well protected and where they can be easily read. And if it is your desire to have the samo placed outside of the property lines, if you will so advise me, I will attend to it at once. Tours truly,
