Meter fo r Sew School Building Las Vegas , Nevada, May 14 , 1910* Mr. H. I. Bettis, Vice Pres. & Auditor, Las Vegas Land & Water Co. , Los Angeles, Cal. Bear Sir,- Referring to my correspondence, and later wire to you under ddte of May 6th, in reference to meter for the new school house. I beg to advise you that the Board of Trustees have agreed/upon a 2* meter, which, as per your wire, is to cost $55.0© plus the freight. I wish you would kindly arrange to have such meter shipped to me as soon as possible. Also advise iff the Las Vegas Land & Water Company are expected to carry the water aerows the street to the property line. Judge Thomas argues that according to the rules ,of the franchise, we are, expected to carry the water across the street to them, but they to pay for the tapping and the meter. Please advise me exactly what to do in this case; also if I shall positively require cash in advance for this meter, as I do from individuals. It world certainly seem tq' me, from our past experience with the school board, that this would be the easiest way cut of it. Y'ours truly, Agent
