LAS VEGAS LAID AM) WATER COMPANY. Additional Meter for Consolidated Power & Tel. Co. Los Angeles, September 6, 1910. Mr. Walter R. Bracken, Agent, Las Vegas land & V/ater Co., las Vegas, Nevada. Lear Sir: Replying to your favor of the 29th ultimo, regarding meter to measure hot water discharged from the plant of the Consolidated Power & Telephone Company: There are no small meters manufactured for measuring hot water; the smallest meter of which we have been able to learn is a 3-inch meter made by the Neptune Meter Co., price $120.00. I presume that this will be more than the Power Company will care to pay for a meter of this kind, and would again recommend that they install cooling tanks and think that they will find that such tanks may be installed at their works satisfactorily. If the meter that was put out of service by use of hot water is not damaged other than parts that can be replaced, you may take the meter back from them, and when it has been repaired and put in first class condition we will refund to them the difference between the amount charged them for the meter and the amount required to put it in condition. Yours truly Auditor.
