Dear Sir: With, the addition of cost of the new meters, we now have on our hooks f2770.13 as the value of the Electric Distributing System as of March 31, 1919. We find that heretofore no allowance has been made to cover depreciation on this system, and we would like to arrive at a basis for placing on our books each year the amount that would approximately represent such loss as -Would not be wholly covered by any repairs, etc., made during the year. Will you kindly furnish us with your opinion as to the probable life of the plant, including wire, poles, insulators, meters for all purposes, etc., and the percentage that you think should be charged off annually to meet the natural depreciation.
