\ V - 3 Ms is the first time I hair# heard any figures on the anticipated cost* for the water district, hut it was stated in this meeting that they exported to issue bond* in the amount of |h,000,000 and that with the provisions of the proposed new act they oould save about 1$S in their financing costs. Suggestion was then made by one of the members that perhaps it would he better to try to lease the water distributing system instead of condemning or otherwise acquiring it, as under this method it would not be necessary to male such & large bond issue, and In addition the water system would continue to pay taxes, whereas if the water district acquired ownership of the mains the taxes would be lost* Will keep you advised of any further developments.
